Post 190 was chartered through the Boy Scouts of America in October 2004.
Its purpose is to give young men and women the opportunity to learn about the fire and ems service. We accomplish this purpose by conducting weekly training sessions in which Explorers learn techniques used by firefighters. The goal of the members of Post 190 is to earn the privelege of ride-alongs where they can learn about the daily life of a firefighter. Explorers who have earned ride-along priveleges can respond to calls and assist at emergency scenes.
If you are interested in becoming a member, feel free to look around the site to see what type of activities we have planned. Look at the "Requirements" page to the left to see what is required to become a member. Also, click on the "New Members" page on the left to see what you can expect once you become a member. If you still have any questions at all, click on the "Contact" page, or scroll to the bottom of this page for an information form you can fill out.
At our first weekend training session, Explorers learned how to deploy, use, and relace fire hose.
We were forced to take down the contact form that is usually here because of spam that was being received through it. If you are interested in becoming a member, please send an e-mail to snuff@post190.com. Please include your name, e-mail address, and phone number, and any questions you may have. Also, please be sure to check the "New Members" link to the left prior to sending an e-mail. Most questions will be answered there.
