Requirements

Listed below are the different requirements for becoming a member, and requirements to ride on the apparatus.

If you are considering joining Post 190, please click on the "New Members" link to the left.

Open to boys and girls who are at least 14 years old, but have not reached their 21st birthday.

$10.00 registration fee paid to the Boy Scouts

Maintain passing grades in all classes with a "C" overall average.

Present your report card to Post advisors for review

Attent 80% of the meetings

Complete all your checkoffs.  Link to FF1 requirements can be found on links page.  More will be explained about checkoffs once you become a member.

Be at least 16 years old.

Have your CPR certification.

Pass a 100 question, multiple choice test covering materials that have been covered at meetings.  Tests are taken from 4th Ed Essentials manual.

Attend at least 3 months of regular meetings with an 80% attendance rate.

Continue to attend meetings and have an active role in training newer members.

Maintain an 80% attendance rate at meetings.

Maintain passing grades in school.

Continue to expand your knowledge of the fire service.
